PBIS
Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) are systems and practices that are used to improve school culture and encourage students to be responsible, motivated, courageous, and honorable. PBIS creates an environment in which students can be successful.
At RMCHS, we celebrate students in the following ways:
PBIS Expectations: Responsible, Motivated, Courageous, Honorable, and Successful
Knights of the Round Table: Students that represent the different individual character pillars are chosen to receive the monthly Knights of the Round Table award. These students get to choose a special lunch from the "Royal Menu." The culmination of this celebration is the Knighthood Award which is given to students that demonstrate all of the character pillars. This award is given during the end of year Academic Awards.
Perfect Attendance Raffles and Tardy Contests: Individual and class competitions allow students the opportunity to receive prizes while demonstrating and building desirable habits.
Academic Awards Celebrations: Students that are excelling academically are recognized for their effort at an event that parents can attend.
Incentive Activities: Students have random activities and lunch time activities that encourages student involvement.
Senior Celebration: Seniors have an opportunity to share what college they have decided to attend. The whole school gets to witness the event while the seniors are announced and given their college pennant. This is a proud time for the seniors and an inspiration for the underclassman.
Clubs: RMCHS has several clubs to be involved in. This includes Future Farmers of America (FFA), Chess Club, Drama Club, California Scholarship Federation (CSF), and Yearbook Club.
